Bonang Matheba have always been my style crush since forever, she slays every where whether on the red carpet, On TV and events. I really love her unique style as she sets the trends with her fashion sense. She has been able to create this "Bonang" style in her own fashion world. On Sunday morning,29th of October, 2017,  while i was busy battling with my assignment with my legs crossed on my bed,  I received a notification on my phone on an invite to attend a book signing for Bonang's Book  from style house files  in my mail box. Although it was an impromptu invite and i had the shortest time to prepare, i still attended the book signing beacuse its a once in a lifetime opprotunity to see my style crush and fashionista in reality all the way from South Africa. As I continue to discover  made in Nigerian fashion brands,  I stumbled  upon this fashion brand,  Mazelle  Studios. I have this thing for made in Nigerian brands and this brand totally swept off my feet with their collection, "Abeokuta woman". I was thrilled  may be because  as an edo girl born, breed and even bathed with Egba culture  and tradition,  I have never a designer produce a design that tells a story of Nigerian  rich culture. Mabelle studio  collection was inspired  and rooted  in typical Abeokuta culture and style with the designs made from  locally  made  materials like Ankara,  Adire  and Aso Oke typical amongst the Egba  people. The designers  made lovely designs  which speaks  to stylish Abeokuta woman with a modern twist. With these designs, A typical Abeokuta woman style is showcased, modernized and still closer  to her root. ...

It's the fashion season all over the world, the big four fashion week just concluded. The talk was all about major  western brands and fashion house like Gucci, Elie Saab, Fenty puma as soon on.  Let's come closer home,  currently  in Lagos, Nigeria, the most talked about and most anticipated  fashion show, Heineken Lagos fashion and design week is ongoing. The show is not just about the runway show in which Nigeria made designers  show cased their creativity. Creatives, bloggers,  Models and celebrities were also fully involved  as they spotted in making fashion statement  in stylish outfits mostly made in Nigeria brands.  As the day passes  at the fashion week,  they seen looking fab and hot in their choice outfit repping Nigerian designer brands. What's your take on their outfit,  would you do better?.

  Oscar de la renta brand is living up to its house hold statement designs that make up this fashion house,  from their fall collections, to bridal pre-fall designs and lovely resort looks. Creative director laura  Kim and Garcia keeps meeting expectations with each new collection better than the previous brand. I really love this fashion brand as there designs will the trends for the new season wears as it is not fashion creativity as they blend this artistic feel to their collection. The run way collections features variant color palette from white , black to vibrants colors like pink, blue, yellow and red color. The show took place at sotheby's avenue featuring designs with artistic paint splatters, Bold prints , sequin  bold prints, calligraphy of the name of the brand as trove letters from Mr de la renta himself.  The outstanding design that caught my eye is the button down paint splatter on white shirt dress. ...
