Bridal Fashion and Style || Lagos Bridal Fashion week
The first ever fashion show to curate fashion designers and creatives to show their bridal sartorial designs and dreamiest wedding outfit on the runway took place from 4th to 6th of May at the Federal palace hotel. It is perfect time to showcase bridal collections as it is just in time of spring with its bloom and colours, a period when young couples or lovers prefer tied the knot and start a new life together. This aspect of fashion & design is yet to be fully tapped. The event was organized by Call Her Fashion Agency.
The Bridal runway showcased sartorial outfit that caters for everyone and every part of a wedding event ranging from the dreamy ivory and embellished bridal gowns, bridal after party evening gowns, bridal train dress for as many ladies you want for big day, stylish evening dresses for the perfect wedding guest outfit, and groomsmen outfit featuring contemporary well tailored suits as well as traditional/ afrocentric. Designers who showcased their designs on the runway include Bridals & Ivy, Elizabeth & Lace, Brides by Nona, Yemi Shoyemi, Shadiat alasooke, Poosh bespoke and the other pan-african bridal couturier in Nigeria as well as overseas.
Asides the contemporary sartorial outfits, the runway also feature traditional aso-oke designs by Shadiat Alasooke, an afro-centric couturier, who made her debut on the runway at the Lagos bridal fashion week. Her runway collection featured models wearing contemporary designs on aso oke, bead embellished aso oke dresses as well as trendy head wrap styles. Another Stylish fashion designer in men's wear whose collection features all things stylish for the male folks is Poosh Couture. With his male collections there is everything for the stylish men for groom and his groom's men or men in suit.
